The Conversation est une exposition collective qui a rassemblé dix-neuf artistes individuels et collectifs aux antécédents raciaux et artistiques différents, venus de tout le Canada pour travailler en collaboration dans une ou plusieurs pièces ou installations, par groupes de deux ou trois, afin d’apporter leur propre langage artistique au discours de l’exposition – qui examine la définition du multiculturalisme au Canada. Faire la lumière sur la nécessité de créer, d’avoir et de tenir des conversations sur la diversité de la société.

Cloud Culture: Possibilities of Digital Multiculturalism,” led by two of the “Conversation” exhibition participants, Matty Flader and Guillaume Saur.

With a vast amount of art and culture moving into the digital sphere, does building multicultural connections become easier or more difficult? MFA students Guillaume Saur and Matty Flader will discuss the possibilities and challenges of creating a culture online that is invisibly embedded into digital platforms. Although easy to ignore, the nuances of internet spaces like social media shape users’ world views and create tangible repercussions in the real world.
